Hawk & Chick

For $20, you get a pretty good portion in their bento box. I had the karage bento and it was very filling. Had a good portion of chicken and coleslaw. There’s no place to sit inside, which I didn’t expect. So I had to find a bench somewhere to eat. If you’re planning to patronize them, just know it is takeout/delivery only. The cashier was friendly and helpful!

I’d best describe this place as Korean - Canadian fusion. Never been to the restaurant myself but I’ve tried 4 dishes delivered so far, from fish bento (a version of fish and chips), sticky ribs, pork bulgogi to fried chicken since the December when the cold set in. All mains come with sides / ‘banchan’ unique to the main. Food tastes amazing and great portion sizes too. Thanks H&C! Sept 9, 2025 edit. Just had their special, Unagi Don Bento for dinner, delivered. The richness of the fatty fish on a bed of saucy chewy purple rice is paired nicely with the much contrasting sesame greens that adds crunch to the bite. The tamago is a nice side that adds a different element of texture and more protein to the dish compared to carbs which makes it a more balanced meal. I’ve tried many things on the menu and this is definitely one of them! Keep up the good work H&C! Y’all are definitely one of my favourite restaurant in the city! PS - can this dish be added to the regular menu please? Added a bonus pic on the jerk pork ribs with plantains too, my prior meal from y’all. . I absolutely loved that too. Too many favourites lol. Keep up the good work H&C on consistently serving the good food!

This place has very good sandwiches. Both the catfish katsu sandwich and the hot chick karaage sandwich are very tasty. Very well cooked and generous portions. This take-out restaurant is ideal for a quick and substantial lunch. Totally recommended.
